Chicago made us, but now we’re full-time nomads making art and products that espouse our beliefs in human rights and social justice. We design things for the communities we come from and the ones we fight alongside, with a portion of sales donated to causes we support. We’re stubborn, loud, and allergic to neutrality. No fascists. No excuses.

STL Protest Patch Identity

A patch is a portable opinion. You put it on, and the room understands you before you speak.

Strange Gang made the St. Louis Rebel Alliance patch for people who do not want their politics trapped inside their phone. Anti fascist. Protest design. Pro immigrant rights. Anti ICE. This is for the ones who show up anyway, even when it is cold, even when it is inconvenient, even when the anxiety is loud in your chest.

The symbol is our rebel circle with a cardinal rising. In St. Louis, the cardinal is a local reflex, tied to the beloved baseball mascot that has been stamped on hats and signs and childhood memories forever. We are not pretending that energy only belongs to stadium gates. We dragged the redbird into the streets and gave it a new job: protect the community, signal your people, stay unignorable.

It belongs on denim that has seen Tower Grove nights and sweaty march days. On a tote that lives on Cherokee Street and comes home filled with flyers, zines, and grocery runs for somebody who needed help. On a backpack that rides through the Loop like a loud little warning label. On a jacket you throw on in Soulard when the crowd feels unpredictable and you want your crew to spot you fast. On whatever you wear in Central West End when you are tired of polite conversations that lead nowhere.

We are not allergic to sports references, we just refuse the watered down version. The Cardinals name can mean the neighborhood, not the scoreboard. The Blues can be that cold focus when things get tense. St. Louis City SC can be the reminder that people move better when they move together. This patch is not team merch. It is the city, pointed in the right direction.

WashU, if you are done treating injustice like a classroom exercise, put it on your bag. SLU, if you are turning anger into action, put it on your jacket. UMSL, if you have been doing the work while everyone else discovered it late, put it somewhere visible and let people catch up.
