Some people collect patches for nostalgia. We collect patches like receipts.

Philly Rebel Alliance is a protest design you wear on purpose. An eagle inside a ring, like a stamp that says: I’m here, I’m paying attention, and I’m not pretending this is normal. It’s anti-fascist, anti-ICE, and rooted in immigrant rights and equality, because that’s the line. If your politics disappear the second you leave your house, this is not for you.

This patch is small, but Philly runs on small things that mean a lot. A corner store conversation. A look across the street. A handoff of water. A quick “you good?” text after it’s over. Put it on the jacket you grab when the weather turns. Put it on the tote that’s always full of something useful. Put it on the hat you keep by the door for the days you already know are going to be loud.

It belongs in West Philly where porches double as meeting rooms. It belongs in South Philly where the stoop is basically a stage. It belongs in Fishtown, Kensington, Germantown, Manayunk, Northern Liberties, University City, anywhere the city is arguing with itself and you’re choosing people over power.

And yeah, it’s an eagle, because Philadelphia lives and breathes sports symbolism. The Eagles, the Phillies, the Flyers, the 76ers, the Union. Those mascots are part of the shared language here. Strange Gang took that familiar energy and aimed it at something that matters more than a scoreboard: community defense, solidarity, and showing up when your neighbors are targeted.

Campus too. Temple, Penn, Drexel, Villanova, Saint Joseph’s, La Salle. Put it on your backpack like a boundary line. Put it on your jacket like a warning label. You can study all day and still have to live in the world you’re studying.

This is for the organizers, the art kids, the parents, the bartenders, the students, the night-shift people, the ones who keep going even when they’re exhausted. Small patch. Big message. Philly, but make it protective.
