Description

Berlin written in Japanese sits large across the chest, with "Berlin" printed in tight block letters just below it. Clean, minimal, a little bit confrontational in the best way. This Y2K baby tee is for the Mitte locals, the Neukölln transplants, and everyone who has ever called this city home and meant it. Wear it fitted and cropped at true size or size up for something looser and lived-in. A gift that actually makes sense for someone who knows Berlin like a second language. Available in black, Kelly green, and royal blue.

It is city pride without the souvenir shop energy. Just the name, in a script that earns a second look.

Automatic donations to related charities

Fair ask. We’ve been creating anti-fascist and progressive art for over 25 years. Chicago made us, but now we’re full-time nomads making art and products that espouse our beliefs in human rights and social justice. We design things for the communities we come from and the ones we fight alongside, with a portion of sales donated to causes we support. We’re stubborn, loud, and allergic to neutrality. No fascists. No excuses.

Most of our items are available in a wide range of sizes. Additionally, most items are available in various styles. If you see a T-shirt design you like and want it on a hoodie, check the hoodies section or use the search bar. You can also customize the style and color of most designs in the custom section of our website.

Feel free to contact us if you can't find what you're looking for, and we'll do our best to make it happen.

We donate $1 of each item sold to non-profits and organizations supporting progressive, humanitarian, and justice-oriented causes around the world. All donations are automatically calculated and transferred to our charity partner every month to ensure compliance and timely processing.

We want you to love your Strange Gang goodies! If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, you request a return for a refund or exchange within 7 days of receipt. Please note that all returns must be unworn and unwashed. Simply contact us at info@strangegang.com and we'll guide you through the process. Read more here. Berlin Auf Japanisch

Berlin does not ask for your attention. It just exists, loudly, on its own terms, and you either get it or you spend a weekend there and suddenly understand why people give up their apartments in other cities to move into a four-floor walkup in Friedrichshain with no elevator and a radiator that only works on Tuesdays.

Strange Allies made this tee for those people.

The front reads Berlin in Japanese, rendered in chunky retro characters that feel like they belong on a record sleeve from 2003 or a zine someone left on a U-Bahn seat at Kottbusser Tor. Below the Japanese, the word "Berlin" in clean block text. That is the whole design. No Brandenburg Gate graphic. No bear. Just the name of the city, written in a language that stops people mid-conversation.

It hits different when you are the one wearing it at a Hertha BSC match or cutting through Prenzlauer Berg on your way somewhere. It reads as a piece of actual style, not a flag or a map or anything you would find in a shop near Checkpoint Charlie.

Freie Universität students wear it with vintage denim. Humboldt types layer it under an oversized coat. Nobody is going to mistake you for someone who bought it at an airport kiosk.

The Y2K cut is the whole point. True to size and it sits cropped, a little sharp, right where you want it. Size up and it goes loose and easy, the kind of thing you throw on without thinking and it still looks intentional.

Best souvenir you can take out of Germany that is not beer or a Bundesliga scarf. And honestly more wearable than either.
