The University of Chicago sits in the middle of it, one of the most intellectually intense institutions in the country surrounded by neighborhood blocks that have their own entirely different kind of intelligence operating on them daily. Guaranteed Rate Field on a summer night when the White Sox are home and the South Side has that particular settled energy, like the whole area exhaled at once. Jackson Park trails in the fall. The Lakefront path south of Hyde Park when the crowds thin out and the skyline sits behind you.

The graphic on this fleece is the design equivalent of a handshake from someone who already knows your name. "South Side" arcs across the chest in thick varsity lettering that's been distressed all the way through, every letter cracked and worn, nothing pristine about it.
