Description

Japanese characters fill the chest and spell out Paris, with "Paris France" in precise block text stacked just below them. The design is massive, graphic, and completely uninterested in being subtle about it. This Y2K baby tee is for Sorbonne students, PSG supporters, Le Marais locals, Montmartre regulars, and everyone who has ever loved this city with the kind of intensity that does not require a reason. True to size it fits cropped and close, sized up it goes relaxed and roomy. Available in black, Kelly green, and navy blue.

Not the souvenir Paris sells at every corner kiosk. A genuine gift for someone who knows the real city.

Automatic donations to related charities

Fair ask. We’ve been creating anti-fascist and progressive art for over 25 years. Chicago made us, but now we’re full-time nomads making art and products that espouse our beliefs in human rights and social justice. We design things for the communities we come from and the ones we fight alongside, with a portion of sales donated to causes we support. We’re stubborn, loud, and allergic to neutrality. No fascists. No excuses.

Most of our items are available in a wide range of sizes. Additionally, most items are available in various styles. If you see a T-shirt design you like and want it on a hoodie, check the hoodies section or use the search bar. You can also customize the style and color of most designs in the custom section of our website.

Feel free to contact us if you can't find what you're looking for, and we'll do our best to make it happen.

We donate $1 of each item sold to non-profits and organizations supporting progressive, humanitarian, and justice-oriented causes around the world. All donations are automatically calculated and transferred to our charity partner every month to ensure compliance and timely processing.

We want you to love your Strange Gang goodies! If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, you request a return for a refund or exchange within 7 days of receipt. Please note that all returns must be unworn and unwashed. Simply contact us at info@strangegang.com and we'll guide you through the process. Read more here. Important: Custom items cannot be returned for any reason, but damaged items can be replaced.

Paris Japanese Connection

Paris has a merchandise problem. The city is one of the most visually iconic places on the planet and somehow most of what gets sold in its name looks like it was designed by someone who has only ever seen it in a screensaver. Tower graphics, cursive scripts, the same beret illustration on seventeen different products within a two block radius of anywhere tourists tend to gather.

Strange Allies went in the opposite direction entirely.

Paris in Japanese takes up the front of this baby tee in three enormous retro characters, the kind of scale that commits fully and does not apologize for it. Below that, "Paris France" in clean stacked block text. Two languages, one city, a design that reads like it came out of a Japanese streetwear archive that somehow found its way to the 6th arrondissement and felt immediately at home there.

Sciences Po students wear it through Saint-Germain-des-Pres on the way to something that sounds more interesting than it is. A PSG supporter pairs it with wide-leg trousers on a match day and it holds its own in the crowd. Someone living in the 11th near Oberkampf wears it to a Sunday market and three people ask about it before noon.

The Y2K cut is doing something specific here. At true size it sits cropped and fitted with that tight early-2000s shape that the city has always had a version of in its own way, just never called it Y2K. Sized up it goes looser and more relaxed, the kind of effortless shape that Paris has been pretending to accidentally achieve for decades.

This is the tee for the person who rolls their eyes at the tourist shops and means it. The one who has a real relationship with this city, whether they were born in it, moved to it, or left it and carry it around permanently in some part of how they dress and think and move through the world.

The best souvenir is always the one that does not look like one. And as a gift for someone with Paris in their bones, nothing on a kiosk rack is going to come close.
