Description

O'ahu holds more versions of itself than any other island, and this tee carries all of them. The front graphic spells out O'ahu in oversized distressed collegiate lettering, Hawai'i locked below it in a cracked stamp box, printed to look like it has already logged years of real use. A retro Y2K women's baby tee that sizes true for fitted and cropped or goes up for something loose and relaxed. Available in black, heather gray, Kelly green, and royal blue.

O'ahu on Your Terms

O'ahu is not one place. It is about twenty places stacked on top of each other pretending to be one island. The woman who grew up in Kaimuki and the one who spent three years in Manoa and the one who drove to Waimanalo every single weekend because the beach there does something to your nervous system that no therapist has ever been able to replicate, they are all from O'ahu but they are describing completely different lives. Strange Allies made this tee for all of them.

The graphic is big and worn, O'ahu arched across the chest in cracked collegiate lettering that reads like a varsity letter from a school the whole island attended together, Hawai'i stamped underneath in a faded box. The Y2K cut does what it is supposed to do. At your size it sits cropped and fitted. Go up one and it drapes loose over whatever you have going on underneath. Both are correct. Neither requires an explanation.

Wear it to a UH Rainbow Warriors football game at the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex with the whole student section losing their minds. Wear it hiking Koko Head on a morning when you are either very motivated or slightly unhinged. Wear it through Chinatown on First Friday, or out to Kailua Beach Park with a cooler and no real agenda, or tucked into wide-leg trousers for the Honolulu Museum of Arts crowd on a Thursday night. The tee does not care what version of O'ahu you are living. It holds all of them.

For the women who wake up somewhere cold and landlocked and immediately start calculating how soon they can get back. For the one who has described the drive along the Pali Highway at least a dozen times to people who will never fully understand what she means.
