The NYC Rebel Alliance garden flag is a protest design for the New Yorker who wants what is out front to reflect what they actually stand for. The rebel alliance emblem is centered on a white field in black and dark gray, with a gray pigeon inside it, white feathers open, red eye raised, red feet planted. Printed on 100% poly poplin-canvas at 12" x 18".

NYC Stoop Politics

Most yards say nothing. A garden flag is a choice to interrupt that silence.

The NYC Rebel Alliance garden flag is an anti-fascist protest design, and it does not hedge on that. It is for the New Yorker who has a front stoop in Ridgewood, a community plot in the South Bronx, a patch of yard in Jamaica, Queens, and wants what faces the street to reflect what they actually believe.

The design is the rebel alliance arc in black and dark gray, centered on a clean white field. Inside it, a city pigeon with wings open, white feathers fanned, a red eye raised. It reads from the sidewalk. From the street. From wherever your neighbors are walking past on a Tuesday morning.

That is the point of a yard sign that means something. It is not decoration. It is a public position.

This is for the block in Flushing where half the families have been here for three generations and are watching something terrifying happen to their neighbors. For the home in Pelham Bay where the team flag goes up every Sunday and this one stays up every other day of the week. For the row house in Flatbush where someone keeps the stoop swept and a water table out for the block and their politics are not a secret to anyone who has been paying attention.

For the Baruch College student who moved back to the neighborhood after graduation and put this in the front garden the first week home. For the St. John's alum in Elmhurst who has been organizing since before anyone else was paying attention.

A yard that flies this flag is a yard that has decided. And in this city, right now, that decision means something to every person who walks past and sees it.
