Description

Worn fitted and cropped or sized up loose over cutoffs, this retro Y2K baby tee was built for women who have a specific relationship with Maui. The front graphic hits hard: Maui in oversized distressed collegiate lettering, Hawai'i stamped below it in a weathered box, the whole thing printed to look like it earned its age. Available in black, heather gray, Kelly green, and turquoise.

Maui on My Mind

There is a version of you that exists only on Maui. She woke up before sunrise to drive the Road to Hana with a car full of snacks and no real plan. She ate shave ice in Paia and wandered into every shop on Baldwin Avenue without checking the time once. She watched a whale breach off Kaanapali and just stood there, completely useless, holding her breath. Strange Allies made this tee for her.

The Maui Hawai'i baby tee is a Y2K cut with a distressed athletic graphic, the kind of print that looks like it came out of a 1998 college bookstore that happened to be located on the most beautiful island on earth. Maui arches across the chest in big cracked collegiate lettering, Hawai'i sitting below it in a stamped weathered box. It sits cropped when you wear your size, loose and relaxed when you go up one. Both versions are the right call depending on the day.

Pair it with wide-leg linen pants for something at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center. Throw it on with board shorts for Makena or a long afternoon at Ho'okipa watching the windsurfers do things that should not be physically possible. Wear it tucked into a skirt for the Maui Film Festival crowd in Wailea, or completely untucked wandering through Lahaina on a slow Friday with nowhere to be. The UH Maui College women already have this energy locked in. The tee fits all of it without trying.
