Brooklyn All Day

Brooklyn is not subtle.

It is not neat, not quiet, not interested in being explained by somebody who just got here six months ago and suddenly has borough opinions. Brooklyn is louder than that. Messier than that. Better than that.

So this hat had to come in with some nerve.

The front reads Made in Brooklyn in a big retro script that feels like old school city sportswear, the kind of lettering that looks like it belongs on something passed hand to hand, worn into the ground, then worn some more. Not precious. Not polished for tourists. Just direct. Made in Brooklyn.

That phrase does a lot of work.

Because being from Brooklyn is not only about geography. It is about temperature. It is about the way people talk, walk, react, argue, celebrate, and hold onto their section of the borough like it is a country of its own. Flatbush is not Bay Ridge. Bed Stuy is not Bensonhurst.
