Description

Four retro Japanese characters arc across the chest spelling out London, with "London U.K." set in vintage block letters centered beneath them. Nothing else on the front. No red bus, no clock tower, no Union Jack doing the work for it. This Y2K baby tee is for Shoreditch locals, Arsenal and Chelsea supporters, UCL and King's College students, and everyone who has ever navigated the Tube like they were born knowing it. Wear it fitted and cropped at true size or size up for something looser. Available in black, Kelly green, navy blue, and red.

The souvenir that survives every trend. A genuinely good gift for anyone the city has kept.

Fair ask. We’ve been creating anti-fascist and progressive art for over 25 years. Chicago made us, but now we’re full-time nomads making art and products that espouse our beliefs in human rights and social justice. We design things for the communities we come from and the ones we fight alongside, with a portion of sales donated to causes we support. We’re stubborn, loud, and allergic to neutrality. No fascists. No excuses.

Most of our items are available in a wide range of sizes. Additionally, most items are available in various styles. If you see a T-shirt design you like and want it on a hoodie, check the hoodies section or use the search bar. You can also customize the style and color of most designs in the custom section of our website.

Feel free to contact us if you can't find what you're looking for, and we'll do our best to make it happen.

We donate $1 of each item sold to non-profits and organizations supporting progressive, humanitarian, and justice-oriented causes around the world. All donations are automatically calculated and transferred to our charity partner every month to ensure compliance and timely processing.

We want you to love your Strange Gang goodies! If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, you request a return for a refund or exchange within 7 days of receipt. London Without Clichés

London has a problem with being represented badly. Novelty telephone boxes on tote bags. That particular shade of red on everything. Graphic tees with fonts that have never been anywhere near the city they are printed on. The whole aesthetic of London merchandise exists in a dimension completely disconnected from what it actually feels like to be in that city, moving through it, belonging to it in whatever way you have figured out how to belong to it.

Strange Allies started from scratch.

London in Japanese sits across the front of this baby tee in four wide retro characters, arched and grounded, the kind of type that pulls from a design era when Japanese streetwear was setting the visual standard for the rest of the world and nobody in East London was paying close enough attention. Below it, "London U.K." in tight stacked block text. That is the full design. It does not explain itself and it does not need to.

Wear it on the Overground heading toward Hackney. Wear it to a match at Stamford Bridge or the Emirates and let someone in the next row try to read it. A King's College student pairs it with wide-leg trousers and a long coat on the way to a lecture and it looks like it belongs in a lookbook that does not exist yet.

The Y2K cut is cropped and close at true size, which is a very specific kind of right for this city and this moment. Sized up it goes oversized and relaxed in a way that still reads intentional, the kind of shape that works over tights or under a leather jacket depending on what the weather is doing, which in London means you plan for all of it.

London people are particular. They have opinions about neighborhoods, about which end of the Central line is acceptable, about what counts as a proper Sunday. This tee is for that kind of particular.

Take it somewhere else in the world as a souvenir of the city, or keep it entirely for yourself. Either is the right answer. A gift for someone who considers London less a place they live and more a place they are.
