Chicago pride gets flattened into postcard junk way too often.

Not this. This one comes in louder. Meaner. More awake.

The hat says CHI AF right on the front, and that hits exactly how it should. It reads as Chicago As Fuck for people who know this city is not some polished skyline fantasy made for tourists with river cruise tickets. It also reads as Chicago Anti-Fascist for the people who take that love further, into the streets, into their communities, into the daily refusal to let cruelty pass as policy.

That matters here.

Chicago has always been a city of neighborhoods with long memories and short patience for nonsense. Pilsen is not Albany Park. Hyde Park is not Bridgeport. Uptown is not Back of the Yards. The point is not sameness. The point is that people show up anyway. They defend their blocks, their people, their corner stores, their families, and the right to exist without being hunted, priced out, brutalized, or disappeared.

So this hat is for the ones who carry Chicago like a warning and a promise.

It makes sense at a street fair, on a train platform, outside a show, posted up before a march, grabbing coffee after no sleep, heading to class near UChicago, DePaul, or Northwestern, or dragging yourself across town because your city asked something of you and you answered. It belongs in the same conversation as South Side toughness, West Side nerve, lakefront arrogance, and that specific kind of civic loyalty people here wear like body armor.

It also just looks hard.

Not polished. Not precious. Hard.

The kind of Chicago hat that feels right around Wrigleyville, Pilsen, Logan Square, Bronzeville, Humboldt Park, Chinatown, and beyond. The kind of thing a Bulls fan, a Bears loyalist, a Cubs or White Sox household, a Sky supporter, or a Blackhawks diehard can all understand in their own way, because the core message is bigger than sports. It is about backing the city and the people inside it.

Some hats are souvenir junk. Some are a gift for someone who misses home. Some are a flag without being a flag.
