Fair ask. We’ve been creating anti-fascist and progressive art for over 25 years. Chicago made us, but now we’re full-time nomads making art and products that espouse our beliefs in human rights and social justice. We design things for the communities we come from and the ones we fight alongside, with a portion of sales donated to causes we support. We’re stubborn, loud, and allergic to neutrality. No fascists. No excuses.

Most of our items are available in a wide range of sizes. Additionally, most items are available in various styles. Reclaim the Word

Strange Gang doesn’t do soft. We do statements. And this one? It hits in yellow stenciled letters across barbed wire: Ausländer. A word meant to isolate, now flipped into a battle cry. German for “foreigner,” it’s been weaponized by racists, right-wingers, and xenophobes in every bar and bureaucratic office across Europe. But the thing about language is, we can take it back. We are the Ausländer. And we’re still here.

This one’s for the immigrant kids catching side-eyes on trains. For the artists, the workers, the queer punks, the refugees, the expats who didn’t come here to assimilate. For every Turkish family told to “go home,” every Nigerian nurse dealing with passive-aggressive microaggressions, every kid who grew up hearing this word like a slap.

Barbed wire cuts across the word because that’s what they want: to fence you out. But the paint bleeds through. The voice cuts through. You didn’t sneak in. You walked in, earned your place, and took up space. Now make it loud.

Use it in Berlin, in Munich, in your heartland suburb in the U.S. where MAGA hats still think “speak English” is a personality trait. Stick it to your fridge, your car, your office door. Let them flinch. You’re not afraid of their words anymore.
